I am not sure if I am angry but...more so disappointed and sad about the cost I heard in our last HOA meeting about the lake.
Please share your comments, here is what I heard. First, has a contact been made with our Local Representative about this situation we are ALL in and might be challenged with all kinds of finance charges on the horizon for all residents that live in Town Lake regarding a lake permit?
I understand the charges to have such a lake will be shared by ALL residents. If so, will the charges for those that live on the bank of the lake pay more than those living on the rim of the subdivision. I don't think it's fair for those that live on the rim of the subdivision to pay more.
Perhaps, the whole discussion is jumping a head of it's self. Why would the builder not be held accountable for a permit that was missed when the subdivision was build. To have such a lake and the city not know about it then until NOW! If the builder missed this at least hold them accountable for something like half of the cost for the permit that is being asked for now.
Lastly, HOA is it possible to ask for grants or ask the wild life assocation for money since the lake habors other wild life other than the typical ducks we have.
If they shut the lake down, has thought on down sizing from less depth or diameter of the lake been considered.
