I was leaving for work this morning and a SAPD officer was at out gate.  I offered to let him in.  He inquired about the homeowners association and having access. (code etc).  I told him about the association web site and that I would also post on it.  I have no idea how he is supposed to gain access, but he did seem a bit perplexed that they did not have some kind of emergency access code.

The "keycard" is the screen that dispatches the officer to a call that pops up on the laptop in their patrol cars. The keycard has the address, the neighborhood, call details, etc. It typically has the codes to whatever community they are entering listed on this keycard as well.

The managment company needs to assign a gate code (not 0911, this is a common police gate code citywide) to the gate and call 207-SAPD and let them know what it is.

My guess is that maybe the code they had been using has been deleted or maybe the officer did not know to push the key button first as this has not been a problem in the past.

SAPD does have their own code. The officer brings up the neighborhood on the laptop, (MDT), and their entry code is available. I appreciate your concern and thank you, but they do have an access code for the neighborhood.
