The other night Will Quinn and I were out walking our dog ''Sunshine,'' and we came across a baby great horned owl.
He was sitting quietly on the curb just across from Will's house on Tasajillo Tr. I walked up to it to see if it was hurt and actaully got within maybe 5-6 ft from it.It then flew up into the nearest tree where he sat quietly.
I have had the opportunity to save and raise a great horned owl several years ago. This one could not have been more than 5 months old.
He must have lost his home with all the construction and cutting down of trees. Poor baby. I just thought I would mention it if anyone was out walking after dark, they are really majestic birds and very cool to look at.
