Anonymous, you said:
''Sometimes it seems like we're the only ones with anything to recycle.''
What are you talking about?

BFI recycle pickup
They have been picking up the recyclables about 6pm, so don't give up and drag your bin into the garage too early.
It is interesting how they want you to separate the glass, paper, plastic and steel, but then the guy just dumps the whole bin into the truck! Okay, I suppose they could have an army of sorters back at the BFI ranch, or a very cool sorting machine.
Remember, if you need a recycling container, the BFI contact number may be found in the ''Park West Contacts'' link on the Parkwest home page.

clarification
That sentence is saying that frequently
on Tuesday mornings our recycling bin
is the only one set out with contents
for recycling on our street. Very simple, not too obtuse. So do you want
to clarify ''bottles cans and a micro-
phone''??? Thanks

An Explanation
It was a reference to a song by Beck. The discussion topic right before mine was ''Two Trash Cans,'' which got me thinking recycling and the song ''Two Turntables and a Microphone.'' It has a line about bottles and cans . . . kind of obtuse, sorry.
Now that I know people are paying attention to whether or not I recycle on a consistant basis (!!), I'll be sure and get my bottles and cans down to the street.
