Big Progress in CCHOA this month.
You should all have a package from CCHOA that included a Newsletter, Proxy, and a Ballot.
Keep the Blue Page PROXY (with you address and the votes you are entitled to..
You can throgh the rest away. The Ballot won't work anyway.
Please plan to attend this critical meeting at Kiker. It's the court ordered HOA meeting and it will be a little different. I'm not saying it won't be very loud, crowded, and a bit confusing, but it's a turning point for the entire neighborhood of over 3200 home owners !!
It's a GOOD thing, too!
The court has ordered that at least 6 of the By-law changes be offered for a vote immediately, because a valid petition with over 11% of the CCHOA votes was submitted in November. Thanks for signing that petition!
Now, if you are NOT going to the meeting or you aren't sure, please sign your PROXY over to someone you trust to vote for you.
I am going to collect Proxy's for Circle C Ranch and I'll be happy to take yours.
1) Date your Proxy
2) Write in the name to asign it
(use mine: RUSS HODES)
3) sign it
4) call me or send me email and tell me where to pick it up. Most people leave it under their door mat. No problem. I'll pick it up with in a few hours.
Now, read the Voter's Guide that the By-laws committee sent out when you have time.
NOTE: The By-Laws committee recommended a lot of by-law changes, although only about 6 will change how CCHOA operates. A petition was ciruclated with those 6 six by-laws, with minor revisions in them.
Then the CCHOA board sent out a list of 7 By-laws, which were similar, but very abreviated and then recommended none of them except changing the BOD from 3 to 5 members.
What I will do with your Proxy, is to vote in the By-law changes and a Code of Ethics, when it's introduced. Then, I will be voting for Quetin Fennessy, a 10 year HOA member and resident, who will be offered up as a candidate to replace Steve Bartlett.
I will vote for 9 board members, too, when that one comes up.
What you can do is to talk to your neighbors on either side and send me your PROXY !!
(If you lost yours or even if you already sent it in, you can request another one and it will automatically revoke the first one. If you choose to come to the meeting anyway and to vote at that time, you can revoke your Proxy and do so. I think it's better to vote a block, in part, because it's easier to audit and can't be ignored. Counting these votes will be difficult enough, as you can see !)
Shortly, the new management will propose changing our voting process to one vote per lot, which is so much easier to manage.
Thank You
