cable vs satellite

i have had satellite since i moved in. i rarely if any have problems with reception due to weather. it has to be one really bad rain storm. if i do have problems it is usually only a couple of seconds/minutes. with rabbit ears you can still get 5 local channels if your satellite ever goes out (which it does not).
