Does the new postal center look finished to anyone? The (inside) exposed cinder blocks and space at the top makes it look cheap.

I contacted Marilyn about this concern
on Wednesday and I already got a quick
response! :)

It seems a decision was made to top
off the mailboxes with wood in case
any changes had to be made. It would
cost less to change wood than masonry
if we needed to replace damaged boxes,
etc. However, I think it looks a LOT
better with a full stone installation.
Also, it is consistent with the boxes
in Phase I.

Since I brought up the concern to
Marilyn, they are going to have the
contractor finish off the mailboxes
in stone like the ones in Phase I.

I think Hammonds Homes deserves a
pat on the back for being sensitive
to our concerns. Those boxes were
supposed to be installed and built
by the original developer who is LONG
gone!

Great job...a finished stone will look much better. I hope they finish the inside edge of the cinder blocks as well.
