Who Deserves the Scolding more?

On November 1, 2004 at Travis County Small Claim Court, Judge Herb Evans said something like this to Mr. O?’Reilly, ?“ ?…?…You should be ashamed of yourself to discriminate against this piece of land. I don?’t see any difference between this piece of land and the other common areas?…?…?…?…?…?…?”

At that moment, I was thinking about one person ?– Susan Hoover, who, in my opinion, deserves this scolding a whole lot more. Susan Hoover had been the Treasurer of CCHoA for almost ten years and she was the most irresponsible Board member I had encountered with. She ignored the rule that the assessments levied by the Association should be used for the purpose of promoting the comfort, health, safety, and welfare of the owners of the properties.

Susan?’s attitude was: If your next door neighbors did not make complaints, you should endure and learn to live the way it was.

Lucky you, Susan! If I filed my lawsuit a few years earlier, you would be the one sitting in the courtroom with me and receiving the scolding. You deserve it a whole lot more than Mr. O?’Reilly.

I totally agreed with Judge Evans. Common areas should all be treated the same, whether it is sitting at the front entrance or in a cul-de-sac.

To Susan & Russ

Russ asked, ?“?…?…?….Is anyone else in your circle unhappy with their landscaping services? Have they ever reported a problem or complaint? ?…..?”

To Susan & Russ:

Are you trying to tell me that a common area only deserves the attention when there are a lot of homeowners complaining?

Thank goodness! If BFI Waste Services has this kind of attitude in doing business, won't Circle C Ranch smell like a landfill?

Russ asked, ?“?…?…?…have you or your neighbors ever done anything yourselves? Why in the world would you even allow the grass to grow 21'' without doing something about it?..............?”

To Susan & Russ:

Hello! This is a piece of common area; it is not part of my front yard. Homeowners are only responsible to pay their association fees and it is the Association?’s responsibility to use OUR MONEY to maintain ALL the common areas in good condition year round without being complained about.

Would you two happily haul your own trash to the landfill after paying your quarterly fees to BFI Waste Services?

Thank you, Russ

By now you should know why I said I was so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, soooooo glad that you had brought this matter up.

You have created this opportunity for me to ?“praise?” Susan Hoover publicly.

Thank you again, Russ!
