Remembering O'Reilly

Records show, under Jim O'Reilly's leadership as president, the CCHOA and all its assets, were without General Liability coverage between January 11, 2004, to February 9, 2004.

Jim O'Reilly is the last of the developer selected three board members from 2003. The CCHOA Board, with O'Reilly as President, spent $100,000 Circle C resident dollars trying to defend what the judge ruled to be an illegal CCHOA election. They wanted to cap the homeowners votes by 40%, so builder votes would count more.

Attorney Bill Gammon put up his own money and time to keep the illegal CCHOA election from taking place. CCHOA actually had D & O Insurance coverage that would have paid for the $100,000 legal expense. The CCHOA board elected NOT to use the insurance and instead made the residents pay. Bill Gammon declined to take the $100,000 he was allowed in legal fees and instead negotiated a deal to give the homeowners the right to expand their board and change the bylaws. The Homeowners had two legal elections since 2003 and voted to expand the board from 3 to 7.

As a matter of fact, according to the CCHOA bylaws and CCHOA records, Jim O'Reilly was never legally elected a board member. There are NO proxies or O'Reilly votes recorded from any quorum of any CCHOA election as the CCHOA Bylaws demand.
