HOA;s are Democracys

Non Profit corporations, like our own HOA, are bound by democratic principles and the members are protected by Texas law.

Despite many attempts in Texas to change or limit how HOAs work, in particular, they are still public organizations, owned by the members, who have certain rights that no board member can supress.

We were fortunate to have a few lawyers in the neighborhood who could read the plain english text of our Declarations and By-Laws, and see that the BOD does not follow the rules that clearly spelled out.

When the BOD becames corrupt, unresponsive, or subserviant to the builders, it's time change the management.

I, too, admire much of the good work the past board was able to accomplish, because they had the luxury of running unchallenged for over 16 years. I understand the many legal battles that were waged and many that were lost, not the least of whom was Gary Bradley, himself. An entrepreneur with a great vision, who then became a victim of his own success and greed. His sins have tarnished Circle C Ranch community and it's put the entire Master Plan at risk.

Lets make sure our CCHOA doesn't go down the same path as Gary Bradley.

Expand the board, share the burden, open the books, stop holding secret meetings, and quit the blame game. The CCHOA record over the last 24 months is one of mistakes, cover-ups, poor judgement, ignorance, hysteria and paranoia. The world won't end when we seat fresh talent on the board. It can only get better.

If you are tired of the in-fighting, then make a committment to do something about it. Go to the Feb 3rd meeting and insist on an orderly process, a fair hearing of the by-laws, and prompt vote without further delays.

And this time, when someone starts another one of their outbursts, lets show them the door, and keep the momentum going.

Well said

That sums it up correctly. Some people just can't take chage, even when its for the better. Something really stinks at the pool complex and although there is lots of water, I dont see any fish.
Yeah, can't you read!

Constiuent service is what matters. Why would you think it would take anything less than several years and a court order to get a copy of the voting list in the future? And just because a congressman or senator is from Texas doesn't mean they do anything good for Texas or keep Texas issues at the forefront. In fact, we should just reduce the house and senate to three members each so we can get things done efficiently and emphasize constituent service. I mean, you people are such radicals!
