The SR Ridge owned tract off of Mopac and Slaughter Lane has a site plan that has been approved to build out on both sides of Slaughter Lane AND to include a Big Box anchor store on the northern 30 acres that stretches over Karst features all the way to Davis Lane.

That Big Box is allowed to be 200,000+ square feet (that is a Warehouse that will cover 4 acres in doors (450'x 450').

It is so large, in fact, that it could hold the entire Circle C swimming pool and CDC, parking lots, and fenced in areas ! We are talking about a 747 sized hanger made out of the cheapest building materials, no windows, exposed equipment on the roof, and no room for landscaping, because it is too close to the MOPAC property line (which has to include a road for fire truck access).

And, the name of that Big Box is the best kept secret in Austin today. It's very likely to be a Super-Store (Groceries and clothes, with a few colorful plastic items. Almost nothing will be made in America).

That store name probably begins with a ''T'' and that ain't for ''T'' for Texas....

You may have read that Mr Monoghan and SR Ridge dropped their lawsuit with the City of Austin and against Stratus Properties to make this deal work for htem last week. However, there is still another lawsuit going on right now, challenging the legality of the 1996 settlement that allowed for 60% Impervious Cover.

Who ever this company is, they must be clueless to not know about the water quality issues we have all learned to live with, or they just don't care!
