We have been swamped with residents calling and writing to us, about how to fight back and get control of CCHOA.
The answer is as simple as filling out your Blue paper Proxy, which was delivered by US Mail a week ago.
Please fill it out and bring it to me and write me email and I'll come to your house and pick it up. Some people just place it in a plastic bag, under their doormat.
1) First line, write your full name.
2) Line 2 (Jim O'Reilly) - SKIP IT !
3) Write RUSS HODES (write -in)
4) X ___ Sign your name and DATE IT.
send me an email or just drop it off at my home (I'm in Park West Garden Homes, 10,405 Foxglove Court. It's in the phone book and their is a map in the back).
If you have lost your proxy, immediately call the office and leave a message for Denise Nordstrom (288-8663). Her office is on the East side of the Child Development Center and there is plenty of parking space.
This Proxy is revokable. You can change your mind up to the 5pm before the meeting, when they have to be turned in. I have so many that I will have to turn them in earlier and I expect to make a second trip.
I will record and make a photo copy of every proxy. I will audit the voting results, which will take at least 24-hours (there is no easy way to count votes like this - we'll change that, too!)
We need to change the voting to One VOTE per House and an motion will be forth coming for that change. However, it appears that we need 75% of the members to approve that specific change, because it's in the Declarations. It will have to be done by a ballot, mailed out to every HOA member. We can do that by mail, but it will be expensive.
There is now widespread agreement on three things:
1) Expand the BOD to 9 members.
2) Always let the members choose who leads their meetings.
3) One Vote per House
