Unofficial Town Hall Candidates Search
Thursday, February 19, 2004
7-9pm
Kiker
This town hall meeting is not an ''official'' meeting of the CCHOA. It is simply an open forum for anyone with an interest in running for one of the 5 director positions to announce that intention, speak out on issues of concern for the HOA, and answer questions anyone might have. Likewise, those who are interested in hearing actual or potential director candidates will have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in the process of selecting future HOA leaders.
Dates of Interest:
February 19 - Unofficial Town Hall Candidates Search (Kiker 7pm -9pm)
March 1 - Last day to nominate for a director position (info@circlecranch.com)
March 3 - Official Candidates night (Kiker 7pm -9pm)

Upcoming Meetings
I have been invited to be at the March 3rd meeting, which I will be able to attend. I do have a very important family engagement on the 19th. Unless I can change this I will sadly miss this meeting. For people who can attend the 19th meeting and may miss the March 3rd meeting, please visit my website at www.dietzfordirector.org to view some of my positions and issues.

Unofficial Town Hall Candidates
A position on the CCHOA board is a public service position. To tell members why they should vote for you, you might consider creating a resume and position paper. Answers to the following questions would be of interest to the members.
?·How long have you lived in Circle C?
?·Have you participated in any CCHOA activities (e.g., committees, meetings)?
?·Would you sign the code of ethics proposed by the bylaws committee?
?·Have you read the bylaws?
?·Have you read the covenants?
?·Have you read the articles of incorporation?
?·Why are you running for a position on the BOD?
?·What would you do to make CCHOA more responsive to the membership.
?·What would you do to get more homeowners involved in CCHOA
?·What would you do to make CCHOA more open (e.g., opening committee meetings to the public)? Would you support a resolution to abide by the Texas Open Meetings Act even though the law does not require HOA?’s to do so?
Would you have it apply to all meetings, including committee meetings?
?·How much time are you willing to spend on your duties as a Board Member?
?·Do you have the full support of your family?
?·What skills do you have that would be of the most use to CCHOA?
?·Have you ever worked on or with another HOA or neighborhood association?
?·How else have you served the community?
oVolunteer for community service agencies?
oCampaigning for political candidates?
oCollecting signatures for petition drives?
oOrganizing neighbors?
oOther community service work?
If you cannot attend the unofficial candidate forum but wish to have a resume and position paper distributed at the meeting, contact me, Ed Silha (751-1191; ejsilha@austin.rr.com) and I will arrange to distribute them for you.
