Toni,
Please keep pressing to get insurance cost information if the pool was open for adult swimmers who had access and signed a waiver, when a guard was not present. We need to continue pursuing this.
All over Austin this happens. Shady Hollow, Stone Canyon, and other similar communities. Also, think of all the condos and apartment pools that permit swimming and NEVER have a guard. As you noted in your e-mail, it happens all over Phoenix when you inquired. Is Circle C with the times? I say no, it isn't. Not as long as we have this Board of Directors!
The Board's refusal to consider the Recreation/Pool Committee's recommendation is blatant disregard for homeowner's wishes. Their hard-line refusal to consider the proposal is unreasonable. Again, it happens all over Austin and all over the US... everyday.
It's time to get the three Board members out of office and move Circle C forward.
Homeowner's think about this. The Board gave your pool to UT for use when a guard isn't present, but CCHOA members (adults) can't use it when a guard isn't present.
Is this proper management of your facility and resources? I say no. Tell the Board to approve the Recreation/Pool Committee's recommendation.
