Step away from the keyboard...

It is a pretty simple point - there really is no anonymous posting on this website if you (Sal) can reveal a users first, last or middle name.

I'm sorry you feel like people have taken shots at you - that is a price that comes with voicing your opion on so many subjects.

So the ''they're my toys and I'm taking them home'' line of thinking really doesn't shine the most positive light on you.

''BUT, anonymous posters will not be allowed on the new site. Enjoy your ''privacy'' until then. When the new HOA site begins, I will ask Bill Gammon (who has paid for the circlec.cc address) to pull the plug on this site.''

Wow, you really have alot of power... I didn't realize that these decisions were up to you.
No Spin Zone

Folks Welcome to the No Spin Zone

Sal,

I respectfully disagree with your position on this subject.

You've totally put a spin on this issue. The fact remains that this message board currently has the option to post messages anonymously. Come on?…even if you know several Ronnie?’s in Circle C?… their names should not have been revealed. I guess my response to your message on the environment offended you, not sure why as we are all entitled to our opinion. Well you called it a cheap shot. I think you revealing someone?’s name is a cheap shot.

Now we know that posting anonymously on here is a joke. This is a democracy and our privacy should be protected at all times - regardless if you feel like you?’re being picked on or not. If you feel people are picking on you perhaps you should consider why this is happening?…?…instead of calling them all cowards.

The site

I started the site. Gammon paid for the address. Why wouldn't we be the one's to close it down?

The URL isn't even necessary

Fortunately or unfortunately, anybody can ''start'' a site via this forum or many others. Quite the beauty of the internet. This URL to which you are referring is not even necessary - helpful, though not necessary.

This comes directly from the Neighborhood Link page:

''Neighborhood Web Sites are Free!
Sponsors have underwritten Neighborhood Link to make it 100% free for you and your neighbors. It does not, and will not ever, cost anything.''

But thank you Sal for ''starting'' this site. According to the Neighborhood Link page, it is very difficult:

''No Special Computer Skills are Necessary Neighborhood Link has been programmed to make it very simple and fast for neighborhood associations to maintain their Web sites. The neighborhood sites are maintained using simple Web forms into which information can be typed or copied and pasted. These Web pages are automatically created or updated.

You can create a comprehensive neighborhood Web site in just 15 minutes! We'll walk you through the process. All you need is Internet access.''

But let's get back to the main point of your abuse of power in revealing an ''anonymous'' poster's name because you felt attacked.

A simple apology will suffice.
