Another Increase in Dues?!?!?!?

I really have a problem with the yearly increase in dues. these are not small increases either. The maintenance corporation should be living within their budget, just as we do. the maintenance corporation is not a utility who basically does as they please but rather is responsible to the residents of Stone Mill. As usual, things get turned around until we, the residents, end up being responsible to the maintenance corporation. This, to me, is not acceptable. It would appear that the M.C. wants an amount equal to all operating expenses for the ''reserve.'' i say this is ridiculous. You are talking better than $40,000 (although I don't have the figures in front of me right now). We are a small community, not a big business! Costs should be kept at a minimum and if they rise this should be handled at the source or by cutting expenses, NOT by gouging the residents!!

Cry I must say I have been in Stone Mill 4 sometime and the last fee that was imposed was totally ridiculouse and is getting outreagouse.  Frankly! where is the money going.

there are pet pick-up sites.( a plus) The front of the entrance can be dressed up some what. The money that was spent on constanley repair the fences was ridiculouse. The fence should have been taken down on the second repair when the board saw that it was costing the homeowners money and just put up some midesize shrubbs (4ft high as aboarder,  instead spending spending spending.Some of the rose bushes were stolen in the walk through path to KMart. Just put some regular midside strubbs about 4feet high.

                                         $239.00 is off the wall/to high for this community

You would think we were living in a community with a price of $500.000 dollar homes.This is a moderate community of homeowners and the budget should be keep within limits.

 

  I quess this summer they will come up with another charge. I believe we are one of the highest maint. corps. in the community. Could be wrong. Again this fee is out of control.  I don't see the board doing any walk throughs

to make sure things are in their proper prospective.

Sorry for the spelling did not get chance to correct.the topic of high maintence fees, but anyway. it is nice that we have the current homeowners as Board Members to see things through and not let matters fall into receivership of the county.( then we will go into desrepairFrown). But again these fee must come down to fall in line with homeowners budgets and for the owners who has lost their income. I have not seen anything grand installed in the community wait yes!  there were the doggie stations. 

To keep asking for increases. Or is it, we the homeowners have to make up for the ones that don't pay.
