Obviously I am new to the website since I can't seem to write a paragraph.

In response to since90s, you are abosutely correct, every trespasser should be dealt with the same, motor sports, fishing, or children on the play ground.  I have been here since 1993 and I saw the sprinkler heads being broken.

the point is why can't something be done about as many situations as possible.  why don't all you ATV/motorcycle riders get together and form a club.  go to Newell or who ever and ask permission to ride on his land?  make it for club members and each one has to sign a release to keep Newell from being sued if some one gets injured riding on his property.  I would think that is the biggest concern for the land owner has that been tried? as to riding on the streets, I can tell you one problem, I personnally saw someone on an ATV this a child under 4 years old sitting in front of them, no helmet no pants. If a car backed out of a driveway, say the ATV was blocked by parked cars, there is no way to control the vehicle and protect the child.  the worst part is that is child endangerment, a crime, I am supposed to report it or I am legally as responsible as the person on the ATV.  I guess that would be considered more useless crap but it is true just the same.  The person was just trying to enjoy himself with his family.

as for the noisy motorcycles, they have every right to be there, they are registered motor vehicles.  I understand the complaint, sitting next to a Harley at a stop light cause me actual physical pain in my ears, I have had a ruptured ear drum, but they have the right to drive just like I have.  perhaps if the Harley rider would start his bike in the garage in the morning to warm it up, with the door slightly open it would cut down on the noise early in the morning and help the situation.

as for the children on the playground.  what can't a group of parents go to the HEB school administration and request neighborhood access.  maybe a fundraiser to install a fence that would separate the playground area from the school, with a gate that would be open during school hours and closed after school hours so that the children would not have access to the school area after hours.  there was originally a park for the neighborhood on that spot prior to the school being built, it is still there and accessible.

is fishing illegal in the ponds? if so why, anbd how can it be changed?

there should be a way for reasonable people to find a common ground. Sarcasm and degrading and insulting rhetoric is not the answer.

we can make this space a space for positive exchanges instead of just complaints.

I'll tell you what I'm doing - I'm signing up to be a member of RT HOA.  I've also volunteered to help at the upcoming picnic.  The way I saw it, I had 3 choices - sit around and complain about things, move, or volunteer and try to make a difference.

isn't it funny how when posts are positive nobody replies.  are people happier if they're complaining?  something to think about.....
