The Trees

This is a topic of discussion frequently at Board and General Meetings for the Schnitzelburg Area Community Council.  We are working on beautification projects in conjunction with the brightside grants that are available for our neighborhood.  Our first goal is to have additional refuse cans added around the neighborhood, they must be placed at bus stops to be emptied by the city. 

Unfortunately, we can't expect our neighbors to have the same concerns over there properties and/or rentals as we obviously do. I also walk in the mornings with dogs and others, and one person picks up cans for their church group.  If everyone would consider doing so it would make a difference. 

We could use someone interested in working on area beautification projects on our board.

I find that the alleys are particularly uncared for.  I am constantly picling up trash.  There are many properties where the owners allow overgrowth where even more trash gets entangled in! Also, I can't tell you how many times I see people driving down the street and dumping their trash out the window!
