Wild Hogs Spotted

Posted in: River Trails

Yes, the little black pig runs all over the place around here...a regular icon!  To my knowledge, he is harmless.

There is also a BIG red boar mama with a big litter of piglets in the area, too, though they tend to stay deeper and South of Trinity.  Cute little buggers, but I have't seen them in a couple weeks, so those babies might be "biggies" by now.

There have always been wild pigs, coyotes, lynx, and an occaisional bobcat spotted right here in our area.  I don't know of any instances ever occuring with any of them.

I mis-spoke.  No lynx...don't know what I was thinking.

Must've been the insomnia talking!

Really.  Is anyone surprised?  We are kind of encroaching on their territory.  Little by little we are chinking away their natural habitat...

I think what you've confused with a link is and ocelot.  I've seen a couple of dead ones on the road every now and then... Maybe we can get wild life signs posted?
