Well let me correct my post..sorry I was on a rant.....I guess you could report it to the Police so that way it can be documented in their system as a SUSPER/VEH and an officer can cruise around if he has time.

Recently Fort Worth Police advised me that a Captain or Corporal from our PD lives in the neighborhood and they were given a "heads up" about patrolling this area....I have seen a patrol car overnight on River Trails I think but its good to confirm this information...

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I was able to check out San Joaquin shortly after I posted this.  The gentlemen appears to be working for a homeowner down in the 9100 block of San Joaquin.

The reason I posted here but did not call the police was that the totality of the circumstances didn't (for me) warrant the services of the police but it did warrant notifying people here to be on the lookout just in case.

If the person in this case had been using a vehicle that actually looked like a work vehicle with a license number displayed on it and if he had not acted so squirrelly when I approached him I wouldn't have posted anything at all.

I would still report suspicious activity to the police.  They can't do anything or step-up patrols unless they know about activity.  Although there are those of us that use this board a lot, I suspect a majority of the neighborhood doesn't frequent this website or visit the forums everyday.

*IF* someone was looking to commit a crime or case the neighborhood to see how much they will be noticed (criminals, especially savvy ones, will know based on even subtle reactions (such as someone taking a long look at their vehicle & them, for example) if they will be noticed or not), if they notice that they are noticed or even reported to the police, even if no crime committed (yet), they will go to an easier less-aware target like another neighborhood.
