River Trails an island now?

Posted in: River Trails

When I left for work this morning, Trinity-east and the intersecrtion of Trinity/Precinct Line were closed.  I'm pretty sure Precint Line-south is probably flooded/closed as well, and when I left Trinity-west to 820 I went through about 6 inches of water so if it's not closed yet, it will be soon.

Anyone know where we can get info on these street status? I'd like to get home to my family this afternoon, if possible :)

I'm just glad RT Elementary is in the same neighborhood so we can get to them when school lets out.

At 1pm I went home and all the main roads Precinct @Trinity, Trinity Past Bell, and Trinity before Salado is flooded.  The only way into the neighborhood was on the dirt road that goes into the back of the new River trails section.  Will be tough if much more rain tho.

Just got a call from my son at 3:15pm. East Loop 820 at Trinity has barricades BUT SB Precint Line to Trinity Blvd is open. Not sure if Trinity Blvd EB towards Bell Helicopter is completely open though.

Trinity between Norwood and Precinct Line is now open.

It would be nice if Fort Worth had online access to the flood monitors so that we could see which routes are open.

Earlier today the opposite routes were open, from 820 on Trinity and from Randol Mill on Precinct Line.

It only took me 1 hour to make what is normally a 6 mile commute because we have no way of remotely seeing what routes are open.
