Warning for Tucson Water customers
If you see someone wearing a Tucson Water uniform at your door don't let them into your home, says the Tucson Water department

Conservation Program Manager, Fernando Molina of the Tucson Water Department says Tucson Water employees hardly ever knock on a resident?’s door unless it?’s an emergency. And, they never go inside unless you?’ve made an appointment; even if your water is contaminated.
Two men, posing as Tucson Water employees, went to at least two homes in the Midvale Park area and told residents their water was contaminated. Tucson Water is warning their customers to watch out for them.
Molina says it?’s easy to identify a Tucson Water employee.
?“Number one, make sure they have a Tucson water uniform,?” says Molina.
The most important part of the uniform is a white shirt with both a Tucson Water logo and City of Tucson logo. Molina says you should also look for a company vehicle.
?“If the vehicle?’s not there I would be concerned about that,?” says Molina.
You should be able to see the company?’s truck along with the logo from your doorway.
Molina says if a Tucson Water employee approaches your house unannounced call the customer service department, or 9-1-1.
Two Tucson Water Department uniforms were stolen from a Tucson Water employee?’s house last week.
Michele Carrisoza lives in Midvale Park. She hadn?’t heard about what happened, but she says she doesn?’t let anyone into her house unless she knows them.
?“I would not let anyone come in the house,?” says Carrisoza. ?“It?’s pretty scary.?”
?“It scares me that there would be people impersonating a city department and claiming there?’s a problem with the water and they need to get into the house,?” says Molina.
Police are uncertain whether what happened in Midvale is connected to last week's theft of the uniforms.
