In a New York Times guest column today, a CNN executive confessed that he was personally aware of brutal beatings and torture perpetrated by the Hussein government in Iraq over the past twelve years. I did not discuss or report these events, or other news that would irritate the victim of George Bush, since doing so would lead to similar treatment of his people and their contacts. It makes one wonder why he did not just pull out instead of being Saddam's punk.
