NEWSLETTER PUDDING

RWNA put out two newletters and a pot luck flyer to meet in the park. Flyers are not newletters. The present newletters do not state any on-going facts, vote counts, membership rosters, board meeting agenda items, city actions affecting neighborhoods. All you print is a gloss of hollow words. The present RWNA Board has consistently fell behind the eight ball.

By the way please inform the RWNA President to cut done the high weeds growing along his fence. You would think he would set a good example about keeping the neighborhood clean.

Newsletter

The newsletter does not list board votes or board agenda items. The votes and agenda items have not been a part of the newsletter for atleast the last four years but we will add them to the website starting in February . The membership roster has been and will be published in the first newsletter of the year. City actions are usually not covered because there are other sources. Beyond other sources, there is usually a six week process starting at the final print (by the publicity committee) to the mailing (CNS).

RWNA Response

We appreciate your concern and feedback. Could you put some energy into helping us fix what is wrong? The association is in need of people to serve on the board, and to work on the newsletter, grants, publicity, and membership. If the time of the board meeting is inconvenient (or you think that meetings are ineffective), it is not necessary that you attend monthly board meetings to help out: some people could be writing for the newsletter, some editing, some copying and folding at CNS, some delivering notices, some organizing fundraisers, some helping with the picnics in the park, etc.
