CANA Meeting RE-Cap July 29

The meeting was opeded by Presiden Gil Geurin people to be advocates people whom want to become Captains of neighborhood watch one captain for every 20 homes 10 on each side of street People to attend the pro neighborhood leadership training on August 5th four youths will attend the intial training. Extend a special thanks to Alex, Martin, and Manuel for delivering over 600 fliers for the National Night Out. Everyones involvment is needed. Rob Fishcrup, the new leasing agent for EJC Properties out commercial businesses will be speaker at our Sept. 23rd. meeting. A speeker for Youth On Their Own is sheduled to spead at our August 26th meeting, Students Working Against Tobacco Abutse, Nicole Ybarra from the Pima County Health Lug Assoc. will soon speak. We are establishing a youth group to involve youths 9-19 to help build a better neighborhood. Robin Walker Prsident of the Cherr Ave. Senior ?Club highlights that program The club will formalize with members signatures, the previously verbalized mandate to CANA to build an addition to 5085 S. Cherry Ave. for the seniors use. Executivs fro Pay Day Lending Reform are in Las Vegas this week but they will be at our next meeting Cindy Dunn will speak on the Neighborhood Watch program.
