Interested in Geography, Community Work, or Anthropology?
Like the outdoors or gardening?
Enjoy working with people or computers?
Do you live near or within Campbell to Euclid, North of the UofA between Lester and Grant Rd?

We have a youth work program for you! Come join us in the Jefferson Park Neighborhood and learn about mapping local fruit trees & backyard gardens. Youth will learn the basics of geographic information systems, be trained in how to collect data from local residents through a youth developed questionnaire, gain knowledge about tree maintenance and gardening in the desert, glean and harvest fruit from neighbors and develop a farmers style market for neighbors to exchange and receive produce grown locally. Through the Tucson?’s Ward III office and funding from the Department of Neighborhood Resources we are able to bring to you this exciting youth work program to improve neighborhood interaction, redistribute valuable food resources and provide useful training for the communities?’ youth.

Join us two times a week for 3 hours of fun learning, great work experience, and community development. Activities will be held after school from 3-6pm and during harvest season (Jan.-Feb.) Saturday mornings. The program will run from late October/early November through February with a break during the holiday season. We are actively recruiting youth between 14-18 years old for this paid opportunity. If interested please contact Barbara Eiswerth at 440-0100 (eiswerth@cox.net) or Rainy Warf at 409-0305 (tug@listserv.arizona.edu) for application forms.
