Folks,
The WWonRC board members have received multiple complaints recently about garbage and refuse containers. So, let’s review the requirements, both under Blaine city ordinances and the Association’s Rules and Regulations. Those include the following:
- Garbage and recycling containers are to be kept in the garage located on each unit (WWonRC R&R 18)
- Containers are not to be left at the curb for more than 24 hours (WWonRC R&R 18; Blaine Code of Ordinances, Sec. 62-33)
- Containers are to be set out on the designated pickup day (Blaine Code of Ordinances, Sec. 62-33)
The containers are unsightly. The goal is to keep them out of sight other than a short amount of time that they need to be out for pick up. That means don’t put them out during the day on Sunday (put them out on the pickup day), don’t leave them out too long once they have been emptied and otherwise keep the containers in your garage.
We all have times when following those rules will be a challenge. As was noted in the WWonRC Newsletter which went out this week, if you are going to be away from your home it is your responsibility to have a trusted neighbor, family member or friend place your containers in accordance with the requirements or return your containers into your garage. It is not acceptable to leave them elsewhere on your property.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and I know that your neighbors will thank you as well.
