Many thanks to everyone who sent in their letters in December to Mr. D.R. Goode, Chairman, Pres., CEO of Norfolk Southern. His assistant, Mr. John Friedmann, responded by having a letter sent to each person, stating that ?“ ?… Norfolk Southern has assumed responsibility for the crape myrtle trees located on NS property. In response to community concerns, the trees were not removed on January 2. Norfolk Southern?’s control will include maintenance and modification of the trees, just as any other property owner maintains or changes its property in your neighborhood.?” Let?’s keep an eye on our trees & make sure they don?’t come back later & pull them up.
