Community Meeting Notes -April 18th

April 18th Meeting

The meeting began at 7 pm.

We had a total of 7 in attendance for the meeting. We discussed several concerns and issues pertaining to the neighborhood such as who owned that area or the developers of this area which stated Don Seeley and Curtis Mabe.

We also discussed more ideas in our open comments such as speed bumps, speed limit signs and get a petition started to find out how to get these things started in our community.

Some concerns that also came up about our community:
-the Fire Department comes in the neighborhood and drains the hydrants and causes the water to turn brown.
-Children smoking weed at the bus stops
-dog fights
-stray animals birthing their babies under abandoned houses and getting into trash.

The next meeting date was set for Monday, May 2, 2005 at 7pm at the Hope Mills Library and Sgt. Dickey of Cumberland County Sheriffs Office will be available for questions about neighborhood security and a neighborhood watch program.

The meeting was adjourned at 8 pm.
