No Plan

There is no emergency plan in place for the Village. Over four years ago the County Emergency Management Agency came to a meeting and offered to help the Village write a plan, but nothing was done.

It is something that needs to be done. I will say that it is a large undertaking.

With the Village's location between the tracks and with the potential for flooding it would be important for the Village to have an emergancy action plan in place.

I have not seen any examples for Villages as small as ours. It was something that I wanted to accomplish while on Council. Unfortunately other priorities took place such as the finances of the Village. Now that things have improved with the finances of the Village, it would be time to have the Public Safety committee begin researching an emergency action plan.

It is a bood suggestion BS, I hope the Council takes action. There needs to be more forward thinking planning for the Village. I have suggested and offered to help write a plan for the parks but was not taken up on the offer. Someone will have stand up and begin moving on putting a plan together. There are resources out there to help and the County will assist the Village in putting a plan together.
The Mayor Does

Watkins comes to the sight. He has a lot of screen names.
No One Listens

I first contacted the county. They told me they would come to a meeting. It took a lot of ''reminding'' for Raylene to call them.

They told me one person could not get itdone. The mayor needed to call them.
