Let Sleeping Dogs Lie ?

NOT ON YOUR LIFE. They have a habit of attacking when you least expect it.

As to attacking people who post on this site, I can't understand why a person who is giving an opinion, would not want to take credit for it.

The people who posted or replied before, are in some way connected to Russolillo. That is why they stayed annonymous, not for fear of me.

They know whom to fear and it is not me.

If the police didn't take anything, why did Consolo even delete the computer the evening before he turned it in? He must have something to hide. I ask that it be checked. It is illegal to have certain thing. No one wanted to do it.

It would be nice if Mr. Parrish would stop saying I did nothing to help Valleyview. I was the only one willing. I will get it done.

Train Them Well

I would submit that there are not bad dogs, but bad owners. Too often the dog is held accountable for the action or inaction of the owner. If the owner had taken the responsibility to train the dog properly most problems can be avoided.

This holds true to what has taken place in the Village. I see too many times that someone thinks they know best what has to be done or done in a certain way, yet they have never been trained properly to handle the tasks. The Village suffered from poorly trained or not trained at all clerk/treasurers. It is required by law the the fiscal officer-clerk/treasurer receive annual training to insure that they are up to date on all requirements and know their jobs. Only recently has that been done in this Village to my knowledge. Our current Fiscal Officer has completed the training, and last night at the Council meeting is was discussed again about her need for continuing education and making sure that she attends training courses. The same goes for the members of Council and the Mayor.

A group of the former administration attended ONE course and seemingly proclaimed themselves experts in all there is to do to run the Village. It takes more than one course. I have completed the two year program with the Ohio Municipal League's Municipal Training Academy and the Auditor of State's Financial Accountability Training and there is still so much to learn.

I encourage all members of the Administration to get as much training as they can so they can be as prepared as they can when having to make decisions for the Village.

OWNERSHIP is the key word. Accepting responsibility and ownership means that you will see that the job is done properly and in the best interests of the Village, but also means being accountable if it is not done properly.

Serving on Council is not a one night a month job and I am afraid to say that some in the past took it that way. Researching what needed to be done meant more than just reading the Columbus Dispatch.

I firmly believe that the majority of people who sat around the Council Table believed that what they were doing was the right thing and that they were making a difference.

I have never said that Ms. White did nothing, she has done a lot, some good some bad in my opinion. What I mostly disagree with are Ms. White's methods not her motives. I believe that there are better ways to accomplish goals that do not have to demean or ruin someone's life.

Past clerk/treasurers made serious errors in bookkeeping and not learning their jobs and responsibilities. Past Councils made serious errors in not providing the oversight that they should have and learning their jobs and responsibilities. Past Mayors made serious errors.

I believe that they believed they were acting in the best interest of the Village, and to see someone's life ruined because they took a chance and stepped up when no one else would seems wrong to me.
Training Indeed!

Mr. Parrish missed the point.

Until I took office, everyone was very well trained, through threats and intimidation. I don't subscribe to either.

Mr. Parrish said, it is wrong that someone's life be ruined because they took a chance and stepped up when no one else would.

Then why did he and Watkins lie about me to get Watkins elected, when Watkins is not fit to hold a public office?

When Parrish said, he has never said I did nothing, is a lie. He said it on the internet. In a court of law, if you lie about one thing, the judge will instruct the jury, you can take everything they say as a lie. This is my opinion of Parrish and Watkins.

Again, Your Interpretation

I stand by any statements or expressions of my opinion that I made.

When I stated that you did nothing it was for a particular issue, and not all the time. Ms. White did a lot, she wrote her flyers, wrote the messenger, accused and argued while sitting on the Council and in the audience. To say she did nothing at all would be wrong. There are specific instances where she did do nothing and it was those instances that I was referring too.

It is her opinion about Mr. Watkins, but Mr. Watkins met all state requirements to hold office and was elected by the voters of Valleyview who in their judgement believed that he was fit to hold office and the best choice of the candidates for the job.

It sounds like sour grapes from Ms. White for losing an election that in my opinion she did not get out and campaign or enlist the help of others to run a better campaign.

I believe that Ms. White's actions, inactions and antics had more to do with her not getting elected than anything that I could have said or done.

Ms. White's claims of lies were reviewed by the Ohio Elections Commission and were found to be without merit.

I would be very surprised to hear a judge say everything that a person is testifying to should be considered a lie. They may instruct a jury to disregard a statement, but not the entire testimony. As with anything someone has to consider the source of the information. I believe that is what the resident's of Valleyview did when they looked at what Ms. White presented.

Her's and the others she ran with, campaign tactics worked once, but I think the residents educated themselves better for the next election and made better choices.

As to Ms. White's statement about everything being said is a lie if they lie once, than she has admitted in the past on this site that she has lied. So, according to her logic everyone should regard everything she says as a lie? As she is fond of saying you have to mind what you say as it could have a way of coming back to bite you.
