This was the first post that has made me feel reassured you will not just do a superficial skim and allow the chief to work alone in researching backgrounds. I know that morality is not measurable but with the things I've heard, with my ears and through the grapevine, at least one of these officers is a snake (being divorced myself, I know it takes more than one missed support payment to have your license suspended). I will agree with one of your statements; if you continue to allow these men to work for the village, I will not be ''happy''. They do not belong in a position of authority.
