I want to thank those who contibuted money for pine straw for the park, July 12 2008

Areas of the park lacked mulch and or pinestraw, There seemed to be no interest in putting more down until a disscussion during the next HOA meeting, whatever date that would be in September>

Several homeowners contibuted a total of $97.50 for the purchase of pinestraw. that purchased 26 bales of pinestraw for the park. Which I put down yesterday July 12

I am hopeful that the HOA will be active in keeping the common areas green and maintained. This is the main reason we pay dues.

I am in favor of having a block party, but less than half the homeowners attend. Perhaps funds should not come from fees to buy food and entertainment. Everyone could bring food and have some old fashion games for the kids. Maintaing the common areas should be a prioty....this adds value to the homes

Yard of the month should be continued.

If there are homeowners not maintaining their yards The VHOA should challenge them to do better.

Jerry,

I will be happy to give you a contribution towards the pinestraw.

The common area looks very nice.

Thanks for working on keeping it looking good.

Thanks.

(I will put a check in your mailbox tomorrow - wed)

Thank you, Lisa and Andrew...that put 3 more bales of pinestraw into the park.  Finishing touches to a few spots. Now if the HOA will touch up the places where sod is needed in front of Howards home and near the park bench, the park will look really spiffy!

Thanks again, to all who contributed to the pinestraw purchase.

I noticed how beautiful our commons area looked at our block party. Thinning out those trees last year made such an improvement. Now everything gets enough sunlight. I wish this drought would pass. It would make continuing efforts simpler.

Sincerely,

Nanci G.
