You are probably aware that Pasadena Schools have ranked exceedingly low on the STAR-9 standardized tests.

There may be a multitude of reasons for this. Working familes; Schools making it difficult to volinteer; Language barriers; poor administration; overworked teachers; incorrect training; multiple funding sources that each have to be separately tracked and accounted for; social problems around the school (drug sales, gambling...); inadiquate resources; good students being siphoned off to private schools; strange boundries for selection of students for a given school; etc.

The school district also has one of the highest administrator to teacher ratios. These numerous administrators often create extra work for the teachers rather than reducing the teacher work load.

What can we do to improve our schools? How can we get rid of unneeded administrators, or get them back into the classrooms to help with instruction? How can we make the learning environment safer and more comfortable for the staff and the students?
