There Is A Difference
There is a difference Ms. White. Do not give Credit to the Mayor for doing something when he did nothing. In the past the only ''official'' newsletter came out with the announcement of the wiener roast in the Fall. The mayor always printed up a state of the Village note on one side of the flyer and on the other side was the announcement of the wiener roast. This time we got an announcement of the hog roast, but the other side was blank. That other side could have been used to inform the residents of other things going on in the Village and in the government. Again, it was an opportunity missed by the current Village Administration. You go to all of the effort of writing, printing and passing out the flyer, why not use the other side and get more information out. I did not miss your point Ms. White, I think you missed mine. If I remember correctly you used every available bit of space on your flyers when you printed them up. Waste Not Want Not. The Village should use opportunities such as passing out the flyer for the hog roast to keep the residents informed about what is going on. |

Never !!
I would never give credit to Watkins for something he didn't do. I give credit where it is due. I remember my flyers. Everything I said is true. If you can't tell the truth you should keep your mouth shut. For what ever reason, the residents chose not to listen. Things have a why of coming back to haunt you. Watkins is a very haunted man. He will have to answer for what he has done, in this world or the next. The wrath of God is much worse than man's. |

I Agree
Ms. White, I agree with you that all will stand in judgement before their maker. I will even agree with you that most of what you put in your flyers was true. What I will never agree with are the conclusions that you made from your ''truths''. I believe that the residents did listen Ms. White, it got people thinking and watching. Things changed in the Village for the better. But, people have short memories and if they do not watch their government mistakes can be made again. The Village got in trouble with the IRS in 2002. It happened before in the Village in the 1980's. History seems to repeat itself if people do not pay attention to what is going on and what has to be done. |
