Subject: Keller ISD Busing
Dear Woodland Springs Residents;
As you may know, the Keller schools start classes on Wednesday. With the new schools located on the corner of Alta Vista and Keller-Hicks road, traffic in the area is expected to be very heavy. As you may also know, provisions for children to walk to school have not been completed (sidewalks, traffic lights). In response, Keller ISD has offered a pay-for bus service for the KISD students in Woodland Springs.
What you may not know is our Councilman Sal Espino has submitted a proposal to the City Council for the City of Fort Worth to pay for the cost of busing until road improvements are made. See "Busing Proposal By Councilman Espino" for more details.
This proposal is on the agenda for tomorrow night's council meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. Sal needs our support to get it passed - we need large numbers of residents to show up. If you wish to speak on the issue, please be sure to sign up with the clerk outside council chambers.
Thank You,
Concerned Woodland Springs Parents
