Sometimes, association members are at fault. At the Villages of Woodland Springs, an SBB Management property, only four guests are allowed at the four neighborhood pools. But somebody was having a party, and soon there were at least 35 guests at one of the pools, said Anita Maxwell, an administrative assistant with Dallas-based SBB. During the party, there was an argument and police were called. Nobody was arrested and the party was allowed to continue, but the guests weren't allowed into the pool, she said.
Police can arrest trespassers who have already been warned, said Sgt. J.M. Smith of the Fort Worth Police Department's North Division. If a homeowner has let in too many guests, that's a homeowners association rule and not something police can enforce, Smith said.
