On Saturday April 6, 2002 the Villa?’s of Cobblestone had the first General Members Meeting for the year.

Meeting Minutes:

The meeting began at 9:30 a.m., was held at Cliff?’s on Monument Rd. (Thank you to Cliff?’s for use of restaurant and supplying coffee)
1) Entrance Sign ?– First topic of discussion. Michael Autrey spoke with the members about style and cost of the sign. Mr. Autrey?’s company Ocean Air Graphics will be building and installing our sign. Cost of sign is $2200.00. This will leave $600.00 of our Matching City Grant money for landscaping. Also discussed was the sign located at the second entrance. Mr. Autrey will provide the Association with a quote on refurbishing this sign.

Colors chosen for the sign are: Gray with Blue lettering. Sign can be ready about two weeks after material is ordered.

Landscaping around the signs were discussed. Two different blue-prints were passed around.

2) Officers for Association:

?· Arland Eyl,-President
?· Elaine Bedell - Vice President
?· Laurie Kirkland - Treasurer
?· Heidi Crystal - Secretary
?· Richard Layton, Brenda Layton and J.C. Woodall to be Architectural Planning Committee

Block Captains were also assigned. Block Captains will be responsible for distribution and communications.

Elaine Bedell to get copies of Covenants and Bylaws for members.

Arland Eyl to get paperwork from past president Trisha Gerken.

Heidi Crystal to provide Newsletter to members in the following week with any updated news.

3) Finance Report

In the absence of our treasurer, Arland Eyl gave the treasurer report.

$934.20 available in account.

160 townhomes in area only 31 members.



Dues are due now. Make checks payable to Villas of Cobblestone Association. Checks can be mailed or delivered to our treasurer Laurie Kirkland at 3005 Cobblewood Lane East, Jacksonville, FL 32225.

$25.00 for 6 months or $50.00 for the year.

4) New Items and Suggestions

A suggestion for a Community Garage Sale was entered. A suggestion to have a portion of profits to go to association.
Neighborhood Block Party was also suggested. Blocking off one of the culdasacs and including food, drinks, music, face painting, etc was suggested. It was felt this would bring more interest with the association.

PARKING- Discussed as a problem for the community. Some areas the cars parked in the streets are so clogged that it is feared that emergency vehicles could not get through. Cheryln Gause to discuss the matter at the SHADCO meeting to see if parking can be designated of one side of street only. Will also discuss speed bumps.

Members were also encouraged to join and attend the SHADCO meetings. (Sheriff?’s Office). These meetings are held at Landmark Middle School and cover Zone 2 area. Will advise of next meeting.

Representative Lynette Self?’s bulletin was passed around. Coming up April 20th at Dune Park will be a drop off day for paints, etc.
There will be a town meeting 4/11 at 6:00 p.m. at Coral Ridge Baptist Church 2967 Huffman Road.

Parting of President Trisha Gerken ?– It should be noted that Trisha has remarried and moved from our neighborhood. She will be missed. A letter will be emailed to her thanking her for getting our neighborhood association started.

5) Next meeting to be held at Cliff?’s on Saturday May 19th at 9:30 a.m.
