Our Newsletter and Meetings

Posted in: Casa Mia
Hi Everyone,
I've heard some concerns expressed about what is written in the newsletter. Some object or disagree, some agree but never say it. This is the reason that we have this new Neighborhood Committee. It is on behalf of the NEIGHBORHOOD, not myself. When we meet, we discuss all of YOUR concerns in an open forum. Everyone who lives in Casa Mia has a right to their opinions and thoughts, they have a right to complain and we search for the best solutions to their problem. The views expressed in our monthly newsletter are those of your neighbors, not necessarily my own. I am simply the editor, the mouth piece. I realize that this usually mean that I become the face of those comments, and that's unfair. I just want our neighborhood to work and be a wonderful place to live. If you are unhappy with what is said, but never come to a meeting, you are not being proactive towards your own cause. I think that our committee is a great thing for Casa Mia, we have done so much already and it's only been a few months. There are those who will never be happy with what we do, because they are happy with the current state of our subdivision. But right now, we are not safe, we are not valuable and not beautiful. If you would like to help us get that way, please come to a meeting and be objective to what we are trying to do. This is not my committee, it is OURS. Thank you to everyone who has come forward with a thought, idea or complaint. It is because of you that we will work towards change.
Our Newsletter and Meetings

It might be good to restate the goals and objectives of the Neighborhood Committee. Here?’s my vision; others are free to provide their own views (as always).

The Committee was formed by core members of the neighborhood for the purpose of working with City of Mesa. Our goal is to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood through participation in City-sponsored programs and increased neighborhood involvement.

We strive to make the neighborhood a safer more pleasant place to live while protecting & increasing property values.

Can anybody object to that? Dissenting comments are always welcome.
