My a/c unit stopped working so I called AACO (which I got from the list of subcontractors I received when I bought my home). They sent a service tech. out and charged me $65. The service tech. revealed that the fan relay switch was faulty and was recalled. I asked why the consumers had not been notified of this recall and his response was that they would replace them at no charge as long as they break within the 5 year warranty period! I would suggest to get yours replaced before the 5 year warranty expires. I am in the process of contacting Janitrol/Goodman to get additional information about the recall as I feel we should not incur the $65 service charge on a replacement of a faulty switch.
