Dear Friend,

Thank
you to everyone who attended the 2012 State of the City at the Center
Theater on Monday night. If you were unable to attend, there are still
ways you can catch the State of the City.

Click here to watch the playback of the 2012 State of the City on YouTube. The complete text of the speech and photos can also be found on the Mayor's website. LBTV, (Charter channel 8, Verizon FiOs channel 21) will be re-broadcasting the State of the City on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, January 11 @ 8:00PM
  • Thursday, January 12 @ 1:00PM
  • Friday, January 13 @ 8:00PM
  • Saturday, January 14 @ 6:00PM
  • Sunday, January 15 @ 8:00PM
  • Monday, January 16 @ 8:00PM

There
were many people who made the State of the City extra special
including: Panjammas Steel Drum Band from Cabrillo High School, music by
LGB2Network, singer Kameron Greene, Long Beach Police Department
Chaplain Reverend Claudette Brown, former Governor George Deukmejian,
and the many Long Beach nonprofit organizations that informed our
attendees of ways to get involve with our community. I'm proud of our
Long Beach talent.

I hope to see you at next year's State of the City.

Sincerely,

Mayor Bob Foster
