I just have to say the last response aggygirl is hillarious, maybe at A&M the drill natural gas to make electricity but I don't think they do here or anywhere else.  erhaps if you posess the technology to convert Natural Gas into electricity you could market it.

Just to let you know that about 20% of all electricity in the U.S. is produced using Natural Gas.

From Naturalgas.org

In fact, in 2000, 23,453 MW (megawatts) of new electric capacity was added in the U.S. Of this, almost 95 percent, or 22,238 MW were natural gas fired additions.

From EIA.DOE.gov

Most electricity in the United States is generated with steam turbines. Fossil fuels, such as coal, natural gas, and petroleum (oil) are burned in large furnaces, heating water, to make steam. Steam turns blades of a turbine to generate electricity. Gas turbines, fueled by petroleum or natural gas, use hot gases produced from combustion to rotate turbines.

I just have to say that this response is freaking hilarious.  For one, did you even graduate from elementary school?  That is the worst grammar I have ever seen, and it took me a little while to even figure out what you were TRYING to say.  In addition, that is the point....YOU DON'T THINK!  Right along with the other fools complaining about this process, you don't even know what you are talking about.  You should all do yourselves a favor and research things before you get on here and post comments and make yourselves look like complete idiots.  Not only am I educated in the biological sciences and understand these processes, my husband works for a natural gas company.  Just to enlighten you alittle, the gas that is pulled out is sent in underground tubes directly to the energy companies.  So please just do yourself a favor and stay off of these forums if you are just going to make yourself look like a fool!  Have a nice day!Cool
