MERRY CHRISTMAS!

HAPPY NEW MILLENIUM!

Our next regular neighborhood meeting will be as scheduled:

January 3, 2000 Still located at the Sam Lena Library.

Meeting time is at 6:30 PM Always FIRST MONDAYS

Meeting issues are the cleanup of the property owned by the city at 25th. St and 9th. Avenue.
New homes are to be built more than likely by Chicanos por la Causa. For information please call: Noemi Navarro

Also on the Agenda will be further discussions about the decomposed crushed granite for our sidewalk area.
Do we really want this material??Something to think about.

IMPORTANT : We along with the City may be aquiring the piece of property on the southeast corner of 9th. Ave. and 25th. St. formerly belonging to Ochoa School.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for the Neighborhood Association to have monthly "Get-togethers" instead of meetings when the weather permits. Proposed ideas are to level the area and to put some cement tables and benches for neighborhood picnics,potlucks and general use for our neighbors and children to play and feel safe. Also it will beautify the new homes being built across the street from this mini park. To see a beautiful mini park similar to what we will try to do here, go see what has been done over on 39th between 10th. and 12th.

Questions????? Good Idea or Bad??? Lets talk about it at the Jan. meeting.

If you live within our boundaries...22nd. Street to the South Tucson border and/or fromthe east side of the I-10 freeway to the east side of S. 6th . Ave you are a member of this Neighborhood Association.
