Centennial pros and cons

????

The decision to plan a city should be based on more than an element in a book and to tribute a writer. There are serious implications that need to be thought out. Get a life!

Decision to plan a city

The decision to plan Centennial had absolutely nothing to do with any book! It had everything to do with Greenwood Village planning to gobble up valuable tax base in Arapahoe County (And Aurora was on the warpath too). The only way to protect those who pay the sales taxes (you and me, sir) was to plan for a city. We would have to pay the taxes to GWV if we didn't incorporate and one cannot seriously believe that unincorporated Arapahoe County would see any benefits from GWV coffers! This way we will pay those sales taxes to ourselves and benefit our roads, bridges, planning, etc. There is no other choice to make than FOR Centennial.

Why weren't you brave enough to sign your name?
What were you thinking?

Andrea,

I can't believe that you have bought into the lies about Centennial. What were you thinking? The people in your community have pushed ''their'' agenda onto all of us and now we suffer. The people that voted for it didn't have a clue what they were voting for.

You need new officers in your homeowners association that will concentrate more on taking care of business in ''your'' community instead of bothering us.

Centennial was the worst thing that could ever happen. We should of stayed unincorporated.

By the way, you don't have to sign your name to give your opinion. I do not live in your subdivision. I am very grateful for that. Your subdivision has created alot of hell for ours.

You are the one that needs to get a life sweetie!

Vitriolic attack!

That was an exceptionally vitriolic attack from someone afraid to identify (her)self! Why do you pick on ''my'' neighborhood? Randy Pye doesn't live there, neither does a multitude of those who have supported the cityhood effort. You obviously have not read and understood what is actually happening here. You should not brand individuals when you don't understand the issues. You have been completely unfair to all of those who have fought so hard for this effort. And you are even afraid to id yourself.
