This month our spotlight shines on Steele Elementary School. The "Greening of Steele" project reports another success! The school recently won a $5K grant to plant a bee, bird and butterfly garden in the NW corner of the school grounds. Stories Under the Stars - Never been to the Steele School Planetarium? You'll have a chance to do just that and more! Come hear fascinating stories, and see the David Taylor Dance Troupe perform at Steele on March 23rd. The Wash Park East Home Tour returns for the third year in a row on Sat. May 20th. The tickets to tour five WPE homes and the school itself, will be available after April 1st through Steele families; Preferred Properties, 1041 S. Gaylord Street, 303/778-8222; or Steele School, 320 S. Marion Pkwy, 303/744-1717. The cost is $10 in advance, $12 the day of; proceeds benefit the school's academic and enrichment programs.
