Maybe I'm a grumpy old man, but does it seem to anyone else that there is excessive speed on our streets? I assume most of the traffic is local residents. Do you really get home that much faster driving the last two blocks at 40 instead of 25? I think some people make an extra push in the alley, shaving milliseconds off their trip. Sure, I like to get home too but not at the expense of safety. Anyone agree?

I would agree
I may or may not be a bit younger than you are, but I would agree about the speed - especially around the park where there are always people walking and biking. I wonder if we could do a fun Neighborhood campaign to "Slow - it - on - down." Any suggestions?

How about the new speed vans
I saw a speed van on University today. Maybe we could request one to be put by the park or another spot of speeding. Where does everyone see speeding happen? Please specify - then maybe we could put a list together for the Neighborhood Association to submit to the city.

there should be stop signs
there should be stop signs at every intersection. I've seen people doing close to 45-50 mph on Kentucky Ave.
