How do we get more East Wash Park residents to know that this board exists and this website exists? Is there a way to get this information mentioned in a newsletter or flyer? It appears that this website has been up for a couple of years and only has a handful of postings. If more neighbors knew about this board, they would be more aware of newsworthy information in our district, ie the historical designation, changes in redevelopment laws (tree ordinances, poptops, etc.), city council meetings, etc.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Stella, your question/suggestion is a good one. I have started posting flyers about the Wash Park East web site in the Wash Park rec center. The flyer has tear-away fringes with our web site address. All fringes were gone on my first flyer within one week. I would be happy to create more of these if anyone else would like to post them in community buildings or businesses around the neighborhood.
Any other ideas?

Could use your help
Stella - I am on the Wash Park East Neighborhood Association Board (WPENA). We have run articles about the web site in about half of the neighborhood newsletters in the past year. In addition, we have mentioned it at all general meetings and put fliers up around the neighborhood. I was thinking of next putting together a simple flier that we could walk door to door. Would you be willing to cover a block or two around where you live to help let people know about it? If anyone else out there would distribute fliers on their block, I would be happy to drop them off at your house. email me or call me. 303-777-0753 Susan
Thank you.
p.s. Stella - did you know that you or any neighbor can also post events, lost dogs, things for sale, etc. on our Community Calendar area? In most areas of the site, anyone can post.
