Concerns About Diggs-Johnson

Mar 21, 2000

In the past few months, concerns have been expressed about our Diggs-Johnson Middle School. Issues about a possible state takeover, very poor scores on MSPAP and functional tests, and rumors of negative student behavior have been murmured. Mr. Irby Miller, the Area Executive Officer from Baltimore City Public Schools announced he was planning a "town meeting" with school officials and WPNPC to give parents and other community members a chance to offer ideas on how to solve the problems at Diggs-Johnson.
Miller, at WPNPC's Board of Trustees meeting in January, PROMISED that he would follow through with the recommendations that resulted from that town meeting.
