About our association

RIPPLES

The Washougal River Neighborhood Association was established November 16, 1998 and we are the largest neighborhood association in Clark County, with over 2500 members. Our goal is to unite the common interests and promote the welfare of the neighborhood and its residents. We concern ourselves with a variety of issues that affect livability and quality of the neighborhood and the community in general. We are a grassroots organization hoping to foster a sense of community for those who live and work within our boundaries.

BROOKS

We hope to provide members with a complete communications forum: from citizens to the county, from the county to you, and from neighborhood to neighborhood. In our short history we have helped create an evacuation plan for residents near the Williams natural gas pumping station, provided assistance to home owners affected by the illegal motor cross track near the Washougal River, notified citizens of plans for a 100 foot water tower in rural community north of Washougal, started the annual Washougal River Clean Up Day, and educated citizens about clean water programs, recycling, salmon issues, clear cutting trees, land use and other concerns.

RIVERS

If you have concerns about your community, at any time, this is your chance to be heard. Your voiceon issues big and small is the first step in implementing change. We invite you to contact us, join our meetings, participate in our events and contribute to the community talk and information pages of this website. We all chose to live in this rural area for a reason. Please help guide us in serving you and your neighbors in the wild and beautiful Washougal River Neighborhood.
