Assistance programs available for families, teens and elders

The Unified Family Center services are located at the Community Church of God,lower level, 850 6th Street in Washougal. Food, clothing and housewares are available at no cost for those in financial crisis. A lending library of books, videos, games, etc., can be checked out for home use. Family enrichment classes on budgeting, nutrition, cooking, and other useful subjects are available at no cost. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Mentors Needed

The Unified Family Center and Washougal School District Mentor Program needs caring adults to connect with middle school students. Mentors meet with youth one-two hours per week. Advisory Board members, including teenagers are being sought to help plan the future of the UFC program. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the center.
